Management assistant for digitization management (m/f/d)

You’ve probably heard it already – people are constantly talking about digitalization. It has an impact on our daily lives, it has already changed so much and has a huge influence on everything and everyone. Even companies and corporations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises are not spared the effects on their work and have to face major challenges.

Digital skills are therefore becoming increasingly important for employees. Occupational fields must therefore be adapted accordingly. Against this backdrop – the digitalization of the world of work in almost all areas – adjustments are also being made to individual vocational training courses. The future „Digitalization Management Specialist“ apprenticeship will replace the old „IT Specialist“ apprenticeship.

During your training as a KfDM, you will not only learn about the commercial background, but will also be equipped with IT know-how. This will make you a sought-after expert. You will know how to derive economic benefit from digitalization and how best to digitalize business processes (analyze value chains). Your goal is to make the company fit for the future.

Your key areas at a glance

  • Development of IT solutions: Is the existing IT system in the company still fit for the future, i.e. up to date? If not, you will help to optimize it and equip operations with the latest hardware and software. Profitability and efficiency are two important factors for every company. That’s why you’ll be involved in developing concepts for new systems that will help the company make progress in these areas.
  • Support: You are the first point of contact for colleagues when new software and hardware is introduced in the company. You provide help and advice and familiarize them with the new systems. In principle, you are the go-to person for general PC problems.
  • Controlling: You are also a master of finances and always keep an eye on expenditure. Statistics and presentations are your monitoring mechanisms to ensure a good overview of the company’s finances at all times.
  • IT security & data protection (ensuring compliance with data protection guidelines): Who doesn’t know you – the annoying cookie warnings and GDPR notices? As a KfDM, you are an expert and ensure that your company complies with regulations and that the IT system remains closed to third parties.
  • Commercial thinking and negotiating skills: Contracts have to be drawn up and checked to ensure that everything is done properly and that you get what you ordered in the end.
